If you are planning a tour of Italy and want to experience the culture, food, drink and countryside first hand you should join a new scheme called Agricamper Italia launched in March of this year.
Agricamper Italia works in a similar way to the France Passion scheme, whereby you pay an annual subscription to access a directory of participating artisans, farmers and vineyard owners who allow overnight stays for free on their land.
The annual fee of €29 for an Agricamper Italia card, available as an app, gives you access to a network of 140 participating hosts across the country.
