Reader, Michael Hafferty, has just sent an
email to let people who are touring the South of France in May,
know about a fantastic spectacle taking place in Nîmes.
Michael writes:
“If
you’re going to be in the vicinity of Nîmes over the weekend of 4-5
May, and you enjoy Ben Hur-type spectaculars, you may want to see the Great Roman Games – Ceasar’s Triumph being staged at the original Nîmes Roman Arena. Having seen similar presentations, I guarantee it will be really unmissable.”
The programme is:
From 10am Parade through town centre
Noon Ceasar’s triumphal Parade through town centre
4pm The ‘Great Games’ inside the Arena
You
can purchase tickets in advance (until 15 April) and receive a 20%
discount. Adult €20, concession €15, child (4-12) €12, under-4 free.
Tickets and information available from www.culturespaces.com.
“Even if you don’t see the performance inside the Arena, you’re sure of a great parade outside,” writes Michael.
