The Motorhome and Caravan Show sees the UK launch of E&P Hydraulics, the engineering firm that builds the heavy-duty hydraulic levelling systems often found on premium motorhomes such as Carthago, Concorde, Niesmann+Bischoff and the UK’s RS Motorhomes.

The man behind specialist VB Air Suspension’s presence in the UK, Oliver Drinkwater, has been appointed the sole UK importer for Dutch firm E&P’s Hydraulic Levelsystems.

Oliver has built a UK-wide network of five specialist installers of VB Air Supsension products, which will also fit the E&P Hydraulic leveling jacks.

If you’re at the NEC Show this week, drop in at Oliver’s stand in Hall 20, stand 66 and check out their demonstration rig. He’ll show you how the jacks work, levelling the ’van either automatically or manually from front to back and side to side at the push of a button.

Each jack can lift two tonnes, and add an extra 56kg to your kerbweight; 3.5-, 6.5- and 10-tonne jacks are available for those with bigger rigs. They’re operated by a 12V electric/hydraulic pump, but can be operated manually, too.

It’s not cheap kit, though: fitted prices range from £4385 to £5228 (inc. VAT) depending on your motorhome’s base vehicle and chassis type. But if you’ve got deep pockets, it’s the kind of thing that really takes the hassle out of carrying and assembling countless levelling ramps and chocs.
