We’re excited to share the news that two new Nightstops have joined our scheme.
So please join us in welcoming The Duke of Clifton in Oxfordshire and Conwy Motorhomes in Llandudno Junction.
And as both will charge you just £10 a night to stay, they could be well worth remembering on your next tour.
The Duke of Clifton
A 20-minute drive south of Banbury, you’ll find Clifton. And it’s at this hamlet’s thatched, 17th-century, Grade II-listed pub that one of our newest Nightstops is located.
By the River Cherwell, easily accessed from the M40 and in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, this could well be a handy place for overnighting on your travels.
But you’d be welcome to stay longer! Proprietors Rebecca and Tim Catling are happy to welcome motorcaravanners for stays of up to seven days!
This dog-friendly Nightstop, with space for exercising your canine companion, has three hardstanding pitches, plus a water tap, rubbish bins, chemical disposal, and a toilet and a washroom with disabled facilities.
It’s open all year and you’re adjacent to the pub where you can enjoy seasonal, locally sourced food, real ales, local beers, wine and more – and you’re just a quick stumble from your ’van!
“We strive to offer the whole package for motorcaravanners all on one site: a beautiful, charming pub, in a great location, with superb camping facilities, delicious food, excellent local beers and a very warm family welcome,” said Rebecca and Tim.
“Follow our calendar of exciting events on Facebook or go to our website – we hope you pitch with us soon!”
We’re also delighted to welcome Conwy Motorhomes to the Practical Motorhome Nightstops scheme.
It’s in Llandudno Junction, North Wales, so perfectly placed for exploring the stunning Snowdonia National Park.
There are five hardstanding pitches at this dog-friendly site, and facilities include a water tap, electric hook-up, rubbish bins and chemical disposal.
There are also toilets and a washroom. At present there are no facilities for wheelchair users, but owner Darren Cooper tells us that a new toilet and shower block with a ramp is coming in March 2018.
What is a Nightstop?
Practical Motorhome’s Nightstops scheme, run in association with the Motor Caravanners Club (MCC), is here to save you money and help you tour further.
Our Nightstop locations are sites across Britain where camper vans and motorhomes can overnight for a modest fee.
Some are back-to-basics sites with few facilities, others provide a range of services.
You’ll find them at hotels, farms, pubs and more – some will let you stay for free if you dine at the adjacent establishment.
Take a look – happy holidays!
