The wait is over, we can now reveal the winners of our sought after Motorhome of the Year Awards 2014 – have your favourites been successful?

Excitement has been mounting ever since we announced the shortlist for our prestigious Motorhome of the Year Awards 2014. We disclosed the contenders in 11 categories, plus one for accessories, in the October issue of Practical Motorhome magazine and online.

At last the wait is over. Tonight, the top people from the motorhome world gathered together at Woburn Abbey’s elegant Sculpture Gallery for our awards ceremony. Motorhome manufacturers, campervan converters and accessory firms chinked glasses of bubbly in friendly rivalry as they waited for The Big Reveal!

Finally we can announce that the Overall Winner of our 2014 Motorhome of the Year title is the Auto-Trail V-Line 600. This motorhome also won the Best for Innovation category in this year’s awards. You can read the full results of the Motorhome of the Year Awards in the November edition of Practical Motorhome magazine, on sale from Friday, 26 September 2014.

Practical Motorhome’s motorhome reviewers fell in love at first sight with this van conversion at its launch last year and picked it out as our star ’van from within Auto-Trail’s 2014 range.

Our reviewer said that it outshone all rivals and explained, “The rooftop panel and overcab section have been substituted with what must be the most stylish extra-high-top on the planet.” We report in full in the November issue of Practical Motorhome. Congratulations to Auto-Trail for re-entering the van conversion market with such a big bang this year.

Best rising-roof campervan category winner is the Wellhouse Terrier, based on the Ford Tourneo, the MPV version of the Ford Transit. You can watch our video review here. This has proved to be a best-seller for Wellhouse, which sold 100 Ford Terrier campers in the first half of 2014.

In our November magazine we also report the winners of all the other categories so that you will know which are the best motorhomes for sale in Britain today.
