GRANTOWN-ON-SPEY Caravan Park has been very busy during the lockdown, revamping six of its standard pitches.

Other improvements include installing ultra-fast broadband, refurbishing one washblock, a new motorhome service point and new Tarmac roads.

“Owing to the climate, it is often impossible to lay Tarmac roads in our harsh winters,” says Grantown-on-Spey’s Sandra McKelvie, “so it was a ‘bonus’ to us that we could carry out the work in frost-free months!”

The park is open all year and with these facilities, you could easily take advantage of the quieter months for a stay in whisky country, just on the northern edge of the fabulous Cairngorms National Park.

The site has carried out extensive risk assessments. “Customers have been very complimentary about our Covid-19 preparedness and our dedication to their comfort and peace of mind,” says Sandra. “We reopened in July and have been busy.”

Plans for the 2021 season include upgrading the children’s playpark, renewing an area of Tarmac, upgrading the electric supply in winter and installing car charging stations.
