OLPRO PRODUCES AWNINGS for both caravans and motorhomes, but for 2021 its newest products are both drive-away awnings for campervans – one that’s inflatable, and one that comes with poles.
The pole awning, the Hive, (pictured) features both steel and fibreglass poles. It has a sleeping pod to the side, complete with an inner that can, if you want, hold a double bed, and five windows that give you a 360° view. The connecting tunnel has doors either side, so you don’t need to disturb whoever is in the awning when you get out of the van. The awning is made from fabric with a 5000mm hydrostatic head – so is very waterproof.
The Lunar awning, meanwhile, has a single inflation point, extra large windows to let in the light and tinted skylights. All the panels can be removed to leave you with a completely open canopy, although because they have U-shaped zips you can also leave them half open as a verandah.
