Verdict
All that extra kit is a massive plus – not least the 360-degree camera, which is connected to a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm. Plus, it has that 25% insurance saving. It’s very good value; the Picasso only costs £4321 more than the standard Autoquest, but the cost of its extras, bought at source, would add over £7k to the price.

When it comes to value, quality and appeal, the Elddis Autoquest range of motorhomes is a hard act to beat. Now under the Hymer Group, the Elddis line-up still offers what the buying public demand: practical, well-designed motorhomes.
Elddis is no stranger to the market. Now in its 33rd year of motorhome production, the company has become a firm favourite among dealers who enjoy adding a rather more personal touch to the standard spec.
There are a large number of dealers that offer special editions, but Richard Baldwin in Halifax is perhaps one of the best known.
Ever since the firm was formed in 1993 it has been working to create quality specials, and the Masters Collection is one such.
The Masters models all have artists’ names, and we took a look at the Picasso. The end-kitchen, two-berth base in the Autoquest 115 is ideal for anyone looking for a bit more space in a smaller coachbuilt body.
Set on a low-line chassis, sporting smart alloys and adorned with gold graphics and cab, the RBM special looks good
Living
The Picasso has a lounge comprising a pair of facing sofas, and the front seats swivel. There’s a freestanding table for meal-times.
The large side windows and Midi-Heki ensure that plenty of daylight finds its way in. Night-time lighting is well catered for, with LED spots and integral lighting in the deep overhead lockers.
The Whale heating system offers blown-air throughout the interior, and the water heater works very quickly.
The side dresser has a cupboard and a drawer, plus USB and mains sockets above.
Kitchen
The end kitchen is fitted with a dual-fuel hob, quality microwave, oven and grill, and Dometic fridge/freezer.
LED downlights add to night-time illumination, while two of the overhead lockers (by the microwave) are supported by three drawers and a cupboard to provide plenty of kitchen storage.
Washroom
The side washroom has a shower – with Ecocamel shower head – and a Thetford electric-flush cassette toilet. There’s no window, but a roof vent provides light and ventilation. The handbasin is sizeable and there’s a mirror.
Some buyers are likely to head for sites with good facilities, so might only use the washroom occasionally – it’s more than adequate.
Beds
The double makes up easily via the pull-out seat frames under the parallel sofas. There’s also access to the underseat lockers when you pull out the base.
Storage
Storage in the lounge is very impressive, thanks to the overhead lockers.
The wardrobe offers more than enough storage for two on tour.
