Having eight gears really makes a difference. Up or down hill, dawdling or in a hurry, it’s always easy to find the right ratio. It gets up to speed easily in part due to the low weight of just 11kg. Build quality separates this Dahon from cheaper bikes: the handlebar grips are shaped to support more of your palm; when folded, magnets hold the two halves of the frame in place; a tyre pump can be found inside the seatpost. The bike is easy to fold quickly, although the front isn’t as rigid as similar examples, and mudguards are not standard.
