Our judging panel at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024 were impressed by the Garmin product, picking it out as the best sat nav for a motorhome on the market. A sat nav’s primary job will be to get you and your motorhome safely to your destination, which this does through features such as custom routing, meaning the dimensions of your ‘van are taken into account when planning the route.
There are also warnings of upcoming obstacles, while the gadget also tells you when you’re approaching Environmental Zones, with information displayed on its clear seven-inch display. There’s even the option of planning your arrival at your campsite, thanks to BirdsEye Satellite Imagery.
That’s not all though. One of the things we loved with the Camper 795 is how it morphs into a tour guide when you’re enjoying your drive to the campsite, as well as when you’re pitched up and ready to explore, suggesting places to stop off at along your route, thanks to the MICHELIN Green Guide and Local Spots.
The £90 saving it’s currently available with is better than the £40 discount that we spotted over Black Friday too, with ‘van owners currently able to buy it for only £299.99 at both Halfords and Amazon.
