If you’ve ever fancied trying geocaching – a form of treasure hunt using GPS technology – this summer you’ll get your chance, as the National Trust teams up with sat-nav experts Garmin.

Geocaching involves using a hand-held satellite-navigation system to locate hidden ‘caches’, which often contain small items that can be swapped. This summer, geocaching taster sessions will take place at more than 40 National Trust locations; visitors will be able to borrow a Garmin device to help them find the caches.
