Time marches on, and it’s already time for another issue of your favourite magazine!

Our February issue hits shops today, and it’s full of off-season touring ideas to get you through these dark winter months. Starting with our latest trip – to north Devon – where Peter and I discovered dramatic scenery that looks good all year round. If you’re a subscriber, you’ll even get a special cover with a dramatic shot of the coast at Lynmouth.

Those seeking sunnier climes, though, will enjoy Karen and Myles Davies’ trip to the Peloponnese region of Greece. There’s so much history to discover here, not to mention lakes full of pelicans and golden sandy beaches.

We’re also getting festive here at Practical Motorhome, and we’ve given you a taste of it, too; starting with a guide to cooking up a festive feast in your ‘van – there’s no excuse for not getting turkey perfection with these tips!

If you are thinking of taking a few days for a festive tour, we’ve got inspiration from Belgium and Bath. It’s hard not to get merry in cities like Bruges and Ghent that are filled with the spirit of Christmas, and you can’t beat strolling through Bath’s Christmas Market with a steaming cup of mulled wine!

In the regular Local Authority pages, we take a look at Pembrokeshire and Sam Johnson gives us his insider tips for making the most of a tour of the county.

We also shine the spotlight on the A303 – an essential driving route for anyone travelling in the south-east.

We’ve been looking at some great new ‘vans this month, too, with reviews of the Adria Matrix Axess 520 ST and the Malibu Charming Van Coupé 600 DB.

There’s an awning review of the Westfield Falcon drive-away, a reliable budget model.

In the pre-owned section, we’ve looked at a selection of compact coachbuilts that could be a great option for first-time buyers, and put together some expert advice on buying second-hand. We also look at the potential in buying a used Adria Twin – a popular pre-owned choice.

Things get technical towards the back of the magazine, with lots of know-how on keeping your curtains and blinds in order, fitting new LED bulbs, fitting a grab handle and checking your gas levels.

In Gentleman Jack’s Maxus makeover he tackles fitting the electrics, while we’ve put together a cut-out-and-keep guide to motorhoming basics, and a comprehensive listing of all the van conversions available right now.

All of this and and more is in the issue of Practical Motorhome that you’ll find on newsagents’ shelves from today. Go ahead and grab your copy!
