WE LOVED AUTO-TRAIL’S Tracker range of coachbuilt motorhomes when it was launched in 2012, so it’s good to see that it has had only minor tweaks for 2014. Here we look at every model in the line-up.

TRACKER RANGE

Tracker RS

This compact, highly manoeuvrable low-profile coachbuilt motorhome is 6.10m (20′) long, which makes it very easy to drive and park. Within that space you get a full-width rear washroom and changing area with separate shower cubicle. As a cost option you can specify an extra half dinette with two forward-facing travelling seats with seatbelts.  Another cost option is the Livingstone Leather upholstery. But the standard Fairbourne upholstery is also attractive, coming in shades of beige and oatmeal, accented with an aqua-marine leaf-print fabric. As you’d expect, there’s vinyl cushion flooring and poppered-down loose carpets on the floor. The Tracker range motorhomes are built on the Fiat Ducato with 130hp Multijet engine with six-speed manual transmission as standard, but as a cost option you can specify Fiat’s Comfortmatic automatic gearbox.

Tracker EKS

With a choice of a king-size (5′ wide) bed or two single beds from its twin facing sofas up front, the Tracker EKS offers even more than the RS. It’s slightly longer, with more of an overhang behind the back wheels. It’s still only 6.39m (21′) long, though, so it’s still a very manoeuvrable motorhome. There’s a rear kitchen and a rear corner washroom with an electric-flush toilet, basin and separate shower cubicle. The front cab seats swivel for lounging on site.

Tracker FB

A lovely permanent fixed bed – fits into the Tracker FB’s 7.09m (23’3″) length. At this length, the ‘van does have more of an overhang behind the back wheels, but the good news is that everyone can drive it, since it’s below that 3,500kg weight limit. In the FB you also get a longitudinal washroom with separate shower area, a well equipped L-shaped kitchen and a front lounge right by the cab seats.

Tracker RB

A queen-sized fixed permanent island bed, placed transversely across the rear of the motorhome is the outstanding reason to buy the Tracker RB. It has a high quality pocket-sprung mattress, too, so couples should get a fantastic night’s sleep. The RB is the largest model in the Tracker range at 7.6m (24’11”) long and it’s built on the Fiat Ducato with 130hp Multijet engine as standard, though you can specify the meatier 180hp engine or the automatic Fiat Comfortmatic six-speed automatic gearbox (130/147/177 bhp).
