The company, part of the Trigano Group, has been on shutdown since 17 March because of the Covid-19 outbreak.

It says it plans to re-open “progressively” with the production system and delivery schedule altered to allow for more distance between workers and to allow workstations to be disinfected regularly.

The Pilote Group, meanwhile, has already restarted production for its upmarket Le Voyageur A-class brand, and for the Fiat van conversions that are sold in the UK as Danbury Avenirs.

The main Pilote and Bavaria production will also restart next week.
