Knaus Tabbert reached a sales record with 25,922 deliveries last year. However, ongoing supply chain issues and the resulting underuse of capacity meant overall earnings dropped 10.3% to €60.7m for the German brand.

The Knaus, Weinsberg and Morelo manufacturer also warned it expects to see price rises of 6-8% in 2022. The supply chain difficulties meant its order backlog reached an all-time high of 32,398 units at the end of the year. That compares with 18,736 units at the end of 2020.

Sales growth was driven in both premium and luxury markets, with the luxury market, including the Morelo, seeing a 13.8% rise in revenues to €122m, and earnings rising by 20.7% to €15.4m.

The motorhome brand had a successful showing at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2022, with three Knaus models shortlisted across two categories, including the Knaus Van TI 640 MEG Vansation, which made it onto our list of the best motorhome for couples.
