I’m at the Boat and Caravan Show at Birmingham this week (until Sunday 27 February), and will be spending lots of my time on the Practical Motorhome stand (5020), meeting our readers. If you’re planning to visit, I’d love you to come along and say “hello”, ask a question, or tell me what you think of the magazine and website.

I’m not the only one here either: drop by and you’ll also be able to meet our travel guru Sarah Wakely, and our tests editor Jeremiah Mahadevan. And if you’re here on Saturday or Sunday, our technical sage Diamond Dave will be here to answer your questions.

It’s been pretty busy so far, especially the first day, when the ticket kiosks couldn’t cope with demand. It looks like a lot of people decided they’d come along at the last minute, rather than pre-booking their tickets.

I haven’t had too much chance to tour the show yet, but a few motorhomes have caught my eye: Vantage’s new Vauxhall Vivaro-based two berth is a smart little high-top; Bentley Motorhomes’ Master-based coachbuilts are beautifully put together; German premium brand Bimobil is here looking to appoint a dealer for its superb demountables; and Roy Wood Transits has launched a new brand called Auto Campers; and Wellhouse’s i800 is hugely impressive.

I’ll let you know more as and when I see more!
