We are back with a brand new TV show, bringing you ‘van reviews, touring inspiration and expert advice, straight to the comfort of your living room. So make sure you tune in to The Motorhome Channel on Sky 192 or Freesat 402, or watch live online.
Practical Motorhome’s Group Editor Alastair Clements kicks off this edition of our TV show with a review of the Bailey Approach Autograph 730, a new four-berth model. Of course, Bristol based Bailey is perhaps better known for its caravans than its motorhomes, being a relative newcomer to the motorhome market, and this 730’s parallel front lounge, central kitchen and washroom, rear transverse island bed layout is more reminiscent of what you might expect in a tourer, but it works well, as you’ll see if you watch our latest TV show. You’ll also find good kit and storage space in the kitchen, plus perhaps more space than you might expect in the washroom.
Next, join John Wickersham who in this episode of our TV show on The Motorhome Channel is sharing some expert advice on the lights in your campervan or motorhome, and how to improve them. Whether it’s a fluorescent strip light that needs repairing, or you’d like to update it with an LED light, or you’re considering options for ceiling lights or reading lights, John has advice and top tips for you.
After the break, it’s time to head off on tour. Join Practical Motorhome’s Test Editor Mike Le Caplain as he explores the Isle of Thanet in Kent, with an Auto-Sleeper Wave. He’s pitched at Two Chimneys Holiday Park in Birchington, from where he heads into Margate to look round the striking Turner Contemporary gallery and enjoy the gloriously sandy beach. Then Mike visits The Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum and enjoys some award-winning chips. He also heads to Broadstairs and the Dickens House Museum, which celebrates Charles Dickens’ long association with the town. Perhaps he might inspire your next break?
Then John Wickersham is back, looking at what you get if you’re considering used motorhomes for sale. He’s found an Auto-Sleeper Talisman, which has a monocoque body, and looks at what to check if you’re buying pre owned. Does the motorhome’s driving position suit you? Is it the right layout for you and your family? What’s the condition of the interior like? Does it have sufficient travel seats? We’ve all this and more in our TV show, on The Motorhome Channel, which you’ll find online, on Freesat 402 and Sky 192.
Our TV programmes are joint productions between Information TV and the Practical Motorhome editorial team, and they are broadcast on the Information TV website, as well as on Sky 192 and on Freesat 402. Every show is aired 10 times across a two-week period. You can check out this episode between Monday 30 March and Sunday 12 April 2015 at these times, on these days:
