First in our brand new TV show on The Motorhome Channel, we’re talking insulation with motorcaravanning expert John Wickersham. He looks at bespoke and mass market insulation screens and blinds, explaining the benefits they can bring in terms of thermal, acoustic and solar insulation, and privacy.

You can see this and all our TV shows by tuning in to The Motorhome Channel on Sky 192 and Freesat 402 (look for Showcase TV), or watch live online on the Information TV website – no one needs to miss out on our TV show! Full broadcast times are listed at the foot of this article.

We’re also reviewing the new Bailey Approach Advance 665, which has a slim body and sits quite low to the ground to, says the manufacturer, tempt caravanners into becoming motorcaravanners. Practical Motorhome’s Editor Niall Hampton is on hand to test this six-berth, Peugeot Boxer based ‘van. It boasts two lounges, one at the front and one at the rear, as it is a true family motorhome. The rear lounge converts into a large double bed, plus there is a drop-down double bed and the front lounge/dinette can be transformed into a third double. The kitchen has a circular sink and a trio of gas burners, a fridge with a removable freezer compartment and a combination oven/grill, and there’s a smart and well-specced washroom. Tune in to our show on The Motorhome Channel and watch Niall’s full review.

We’ve more from John Wickersham in this episode of our show. He is at Young Conversions in Milton Keynes to look at one of the ‘vans the company was commissioned to build. John’s keen to point out the interesting layout choices illustrating how a bespoke ‘van can work around its owner’s lifestyle, helping motorcaravanners get exactly what they want, so they get the most from their hobby.

If you tune in to our latest TV show you’ll also be able to catch some sun with Practical Motorhome’s Kate Taylor on tour on Jersey in the Channel Islands. She’s taken a Benimar Mileo 231 and explains how to get your ‘van to Jersey, before exploring this picture perfect island, drinking in the glorious beaches. She also visits Corbière lighthouse on the island’s rugged, south west coast, samples some famous Jersey Royal potatoes and meets some Jersey cows. Tune in to learn about the Jersey War Tunnels and more, it’s fantastic touring inspiration.

So make sure you don’t miss our show – and as it’s broadcast 10 times over a two-week period, you’ve plenty of opportunities to tune in.
