If you’ve ever wondered what sort of computer systems Google uses to power its vast range array of online services, wonder no more.
Clearly not satisfied with mapping everyone else’s buildings, Google has now started mapping its own and its now possible to take a street-level tour through one of its data centres (essentially a warehouse stuffed with computers) in the US.
If clicking around nondescript corridors just to find the good stuff doesn’t appear though, Google has also commissioned a series of impressive photos that show the mind-boggling scale of its operation and some of the people who help run it.
