THE REMAINING ASSETS of motorhome and caravan retailer Discover Leisure are being sold off in specially staged events this weekend.
Discover Leisure, formerly the UK’s largest dealer network has been in administration since mid-October. The group’s administrators have published information about the sales event on the Discover Leisure website which can be seen by clicking here.
Taking stock
The dealer group’s sites are open this weekend for the disposal of the remaining stock. This is presumed to be the remaining accessory shop stock, spare parts and those caravans and motorhomes not already sold on through the trade.
The majority of the group’s new stock, believed to number some 300 caravans from Bailey, Swift and Elddis, has been redistrubuted into the dealer network. The remaining vehicles remain at the sites and will be sold this weekend.
According to the notice, Chorley, York, Delamere, Darlington and Birtley branches will be trading over the weekend on a strictly cash only basis. The opening hours at all sites on Saturday are 9am – 5pm while on Sunday, sites will trade from 10am – 3pm.
The weekend sales include all the sale stock from the branches. The company’s other assets such as commercial vehicles, workshop equipment and all other items owned by the country will be sold by online auction. Viewing of those items takes place on 6 December with bids being accepted up to 11am on 8 December. Further details about the auction can be gained from Sanderson Weatherall.

Below is the stock list published prior to the event. This lists available motorhomes, and is taken from Sanderson Weatherall. No reponsibility is taken by Practical Motorhome for any inaccuracies in this information. As can be seen, the list includes one new motorhome and four used models. We don’t know whether this is an exhaustive list of motorhome stock.
