What are you looking for at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham, this year?

I’m hoping to see plenty of outdoor-lifestyle-themed accessories that you simply can’t get on the high street. Where else would you find a Bucket Buddy, or C.A.K. Tanks’ replacement water tanks for your motorhome or caravan? Maybe you need some fitted sheets and duvets for those space-saving motorhome and caravan fixed double beds with the bottom corner cut off? I know you can buy just about anything online, but I do like to feel the quality before I ‘add to basket’.

It’s fun listening to the slick sales patter of a born showman as he shifts handy kitchen gadgets: ‘Not one, not two, but THREE lemon-squeezers/egg slicers/scarves, ladies and gentlemen, for the price of just ONE!’ (As seen on the shopping channels, no doubt.)
I’ll have to concentrate to get my head round the differences between similar-looking show bargain caravan/motorhome TVs, satellite dishes, security devices, sat-navs and dongles. Thankfully, our Jeremiah has reviewed portable DVD-players recently, so that’ll help.
We had the first frost since the spring last night, so I may find those hand-warmers, neck-warmers and insulated flasks suddenly irresistible in Birmingham.
I’m also having a Fantasia moment – dreaming that some of those extending long-handled mops might just spring to life, Disney-style, and wash the motorhome roof without me having to climb up a ladder… well, I can dream.
The Motorhome and Caravan Show runs from October 16-21 and there’s loads of free parking. Our stand is in the middle of Hall 18 – come and see the latest issue of Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan!
Buy online or on the door: adults £10, adults aged 60+ £9, kids go free.
