Forest Holidays has announced that those staying on its eight campsites open over the winter season will receive a festive gift – a Christmas tree sapling.

The eight Forest Holidays sites that will remain open during the low season are Setthorns, Spiers House, Thorpe, Postern Hill, Beddgelert, Christchurch, Ardgartan and Glenmore; those who stay at the sites between Monday December 19 and Sunday December 25 will receive a free tree, which can be collected on Christmas Eve from the sites’ receptions.

Meanwhile, those staying at any of the Camping and Caravanning Club’s sites on Christmas Eve will be able to enjoy complimentary mince pies and mulled wine. Twenty-four of the Club’s campsites will be open over the winter, including Canterbury, Derwentwater, Conkers, Teversal, Thetford Forest and Windermere.
