Are you looking for motorhome-themed gifts this Christmas? If so, you’ve come to the right place, as we’re sharing our ideas for great gifts for motorcaravanners.

The Happy Campers Jigsaw Puzzle, at just £10, from Gibsons Games in Sutton, Surrey, is perfect for those cosy nights in your motorhome. There are other designs available, but we particularly love the fantastic Happy Campers illustration by cartoonist Steve Skelton, so the fact that it has been turned into a jigsaw is a bonus! You’ll spend hours poring over the image, trying to identify all of the motorhomes: our particular favourite is the 1970s GMC motorhome with what appears to be a space station coming out of the roof. The 1000-piece jigsaw is 48cm x 68cm when completed – so make sure your ’van’s lounge table is big enough before you buy!

Cute and colourful, the View Quest Retro Mini Radio costs £59.99 and is one of a range of radios ideal as a present for anyone who loves the latest technology presented in vintage style. You won’t miss your favourite shows on tour, because this natty Retro Mini radio features DAB and Bluetooth functionality as well as conventional AM/FM, so you can use it to listen to your MP3 player, too. Wrapped in leatherette, the radio comes in 14 patterns and features connections for a headphone jack, aux-in and a USB port. It runs on either mains or battery power and, weighing in at less than a kilo, this Christmas gift shouldn’t take up too much of your payload allowance!

The Reisenthel Carrycruiser Strong Shopping Trolley, costing £99, is a tough and colourful shopping trolley from online luggage specialist Happy Bags. It is just the thing for transporting kit or groceries to and from your ’van. With a capacity of up to 40 litres, the robust trolley should have room for a touring shop – and there’s no need to cry if you spill the milk, because the removable lining is washable. It comes in 10 vibrant colours, and it features a shoulder strap and clips to attach it to a store trolley.

The STM Bags Drifter Backpack, costing £94.95 from Amazon, is a compact backpack with a 15-inch padded laptop compartment and plenty of other sections to accommodate various items you’ll take with you on day trips. It’s comfortable to wear and easy on the eye, too. Handily, there’s also a bottom zipped pocket that holds a detachable rain cover in case of a sudden downpour. It’s a practical gift that anyone who enjoys walking will appreciate.

A good set of camping chairs is certainly a must for motorhome touring and Isabella Camping Chairs, from £84 each, would make a welcome gift for anyone who loves the outdoor life. Isabella is best known as an awning specialist, but this stylish range will look the part on site. There are three new folding camping chair styles to choose from: Odin (£90), Relax (105), and Thor (£84). Whichever you decide to wrap up, all should provide a welcome relief after a long day’s touring or exploring. Each chair is made from aluminium, weighs just over 5kg and can take a 120kg load. All feature eight sitting positions and have a protective PVC coating. They also fold up, which is handy when you’re on the move.

For the photographer in your family, how about choosing one of the Manfrotto NX Camera Accessory Bags, from £15.95. This stylish new collection of camera gear is aimed at both beginners and enthusiasts, offering high protection for cameras and accessories. It has been designed to house most popular types, including the fashionable compact system camera (CSC). Nine models are available, from a small pouch to a backpack. Highlights include the NX Holster, NX Shoulders and NX Messenger, which cater for everything from compacts to DSLRs.

If you’d like advice on how to take better photographs on tour, read our blogs by James Stanbury. Show your touring colours with a funky FastFuse T-shirt design, costing from just £8.95 plus postage, sold by Etsy. Following the popular ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ theme, there are T-shirts bearing three slogans – Keep Calm and Motorhome, Keep Calm and Travel and our favourite, Keep Calm and Keep Touring. They are made from pre-shrunk cotton and available in eight colours, in sizes from S-XXL.

If the layout of your motorhome means that you have to make the bed in your ’van every evening, and break it every morning, messing about with sheets and duvets can be a pain. The Snuggle Sac may be the answer: this cosy fleece sleeping bag is designed to replace traditional bedding and more classic sleeping bags on tour, and is now available in adult sizes, for £55, in addition to toddler, child and teen Snuggle Sacs. There are eight colours, and the 2.3m x 0.8m Sac is machine-washable.

There are plenty of travel mugs on the market, but it takes something special to win our rigorous travel mugs group test, as this tough stainless-steel Bodum item did. It really fits the bill, making it ideal for enjoying a hot beverage as you wild camp this winter. It’s an attractive gift for a friend or a stocking-filler for adults or children. The lid is easy to open and close, it’s thermally excellent, plus it’s easy to clean, too. The Bodum Travel Mug costs £20, and you can read all about it in our review.

Music can enhance any holiday, and you can have a lot of fun matching the sounds to your mood and the beauty of the place. The Edifier MP211 Speaker is lightweight and portable, ideal for touring. Just connect it to your smartphone or MP3 player via Bluetooth and enjoy your music wherever you are. You could even take it to the beach or on picnics. The long-lasting lithium-ion battery can recharged via a micro-USB cable, and the Edifier MP211 Speaker is available in five attractive colours.
