CHAUSSON UNVEILED ITS NEW 2014-SEASON RANGE OF motorhomes to the world’s press and then to its hand-picked dealers in the glorious setting of Chateau des Broyers in La Chapelle-de-Guinchay, near Macon, France. Conversations flowed in a mixture of Norwegian, German, French and English on 19 June, 2013, as the journalists checked out Chausson’s beautiful new motorhomes.
SPECIAL BRITISH RANGE
The French motorhome manufacturer Chausson, part of the mighty Trigano Group, has created a new range of motorhomes for British motorhome buyers, which will offer French style, but in a UK-friendly package, with generous specifications.
“The designs for the new range have been created as a result of listening to UK customers and seeking valuable feedback from all of our British dealerships, such as Lowdhams,” explained Guillaume Montagnat.
NEW LOGO, NEW DECALS
There’s an attractive new circular logo with a green flash coming out of it at a jaunty angle, to represent the road to green pastures and campsites ahead. It means that you’ll be able to spot the new 2014-season motorhomes on the road instantly.
BEST OF… TRANSIT-BASED LIMITED EDITIONS
“Ford is in the process of changing its Ford Transit base vehicle,” Guillaume said, “but after more than 30 years of working with Ford chassis, we could not contemplate having a year without Ford-based motorhomes, so after much discussion they have produced a limited number of the current Ford Transit base vehicles especially for Chausson. As a result we decided to create a limited edition range, our ‘Best of’ models. These really are the last of the line and so we have made them extra special for the UK customers by adding a very generous specification.”
In addition to these, there are classic Chausson low-profiles at competitive prices, along with a couple of overcab models. For those thinking big, the Suite Maxi, Suite Garage and Suite Family offer fantastic luxury and loads of space, but won’t cost the earth.
We will report on the range more fully, with photos, in the September 2013 issue of Practical Motorhome magazine (on sale 1 August). To see the current 2013 range of Chausson motorhomes on a forecourt near you, please head to one of Chausson’s many British dealerships.
