The winners of this year’s Best Certificated Site awards have been revealed by The Camping and Caravanning Club.
The Camping and Caravanning Club’s annual Best Certificated Site competition has five categories – Best Friendly Club Welcome, Best Hideaway, Best New Site, Best Facilities and Best CS for Families.
Winners are voted for by Club members, and this year, Colman’s of Aysgarth in North Yorkshire, north east England, received the most member nominations and took the title of Best Certificated Site 2019.
The site is owned and run by husband and wife team Clare and Matt Colman, and they also won the Best Friendly Club Welcome and Best CS for Families titles.
Of the awards, Clare said “We set up this site with no other aim than to open up our land for others to enjoy – I’m chuffed to bits.”
It’s not hard to see why they won; the two acre site boasts stunning views over Wensleydale, sparkling clean modern facilities and access to great walks. It’s also within walking distance of a shop and two pubs. The site is open all year, too.
