Dave Thomas is stepping down as managing director of Auto-Trail next February, after seven years in the role and 28 years at the company.

His replacement at the Trigano Group subsidiary will be Shane Devoy, currently finance director. At the same time Scott Stephens will become commercial director and Steve Moverley will become technical director.

Shane, who has himself been with the Grimsby company for 24 years, said, “It has been a pleasure working with Dave for over 20 years. His eye for design detail has given us a great product portfolio and a solid foundation that the new management team can continue to build on.”

Dave, who is retiring after 30 years in the industry, said, “I couldn’t think of a more capable team to oversee the next stage of Auto-Trail’s journey.”

The change in management comes in the same year that Auto-Trail has turned 40. You can find out more about the brand – and the other makes out there – in our guide to the best motorhome manufacturers.

Auto-Trail are not the only company to have a change in management take place recently, with Swift announcing a shake-up of their leadership team in September.
