We always love hearing about the touring adventures the general public get up to, and when we heard about Anne Spring, we had to share her story with you.

Having to take early retirement due to ill health, Anne, 67, from Bradford suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, meaning she can drive but after parking, will struggle to walk far.

Despite this, she’s managed to find a way to continue her lifelong passion for motorcaravanning, spending two weeks of every month touring, thanks to her TGA Supersport, an off-road three-wheel scooter.

The stylish black and chrome mobility scooter is garaged inside her motorhome with ramps, and this setup has allowed Anne to explore most of the UK, including some of the more remote parts, such as the Orkney Islands and the Outer Hebrides. Her 40 years of adventures have even seen her take her motorhome and scooter setup to France, Belgium and Holland.

The presence of solar panels on the top of Anne’s motorhome is a handy addition that lets her keep her scooter charged and ready for her next adventure too.

Anne’s favourite trips have seen her go to the northern tip of Scotland and the English south coast. She says “I have so many special memories. I’ll never forget when I took my scooter up the steepest mountain pass in the UK called Bealach na Bà, near Applecross on the north west coast of Scotland. This road has a gradient of 20% in places and I got my Supersport up some of it.”

“Down south I have been holidaying in Folkestone for over 40 years. The beaches are stunning there and I am so glad to hear recently from another TGA owner, that Kent County Council are investing in making more paths and places accessible. Stonehedge was another magical place, I remember we used my scooter for carrying piles and piles of logs for the campfire, so handy.”
