IF YOU’RE LOOKING to downsize but you don’t want to compromise the luxury of your touring experience, then we might have the perfect motorhome for you in our brand new TV show, only on The Motorhome Channel.
Tune in on Sky 192, Freesat 402 or watch live online as our Rob Ganley reviews the Marquis Majestic 115. Based on the Elddis Autoquest range, this ‘van is just 5.71m long, so will fit into most car sized parking bays – and into many motorcaravanners’ lives.
Aimed at people looking to downsize to a smaller coachbuilt motorhome without sacrificing interior comfort, Rob discovers that the Peugeot Boxer based Marquis Majestic 115 is a handsomely specced ‘van, despite its modest proportions. There is an integral awning, an electric step, airbags for the driver and passenger, cruise control, traction control, air-con and hill start assist. In the kitchen you’ll find three gas burners and an electric hotplate, plus in the bathroom there is evidence of some clever, space efficient design in the neat, swing-out basin. And that’s not all. Watch our TV show to discover why Rob thinks this could also be a good option for year-round touring.
We’ve another more compact ‘van in our new TV show on The Motorhome Channel (Sky 192, Freesat 402 and online). Do you remember the recent special edition Wellhouse Ford Terrier Bianco? In our new show, Practical Motorhome’s Editor Niall Hampton looks at the stunning Rosso version. It’s a Ford Tourneo Custom based motorhome converted by Wellhouse Leisure in Yorkshire to a very high standard. You get a lot of ‘van for your money, because as well as the high quality fit and finish, this campervan has alloy wheels, an uprated 155PS engine and there is great attention to detail – just look at the careful colour coding throughout.
The third new ‘van test in our latest TV show is again by Rob Ganley, but this time he’s in a very attractive new model from the Swift Group. Catch our Autocruise Carrera 4 review only on The Motorhome Channel. It’s a sporty, high-top conversion with an impressive high spec featuring black alloy wheels, privacy windows, an integrated roll-out awning and a solar panel mounted to the roof. Inside, you’ll find good looking black leather upholstery with orange trim, handy reversing cameras, a large, flat screen TV, a sink and a two gas burner hob.
But that’s not all. Practical Motorhome magazine’s Clare Kelly is also off on her travels again. Join her in Wiltshire. She pitches her Bailey Approach Autograph at the lovely Merkins Farm just north east of Bradford-on-Avon and discovers what things there are to see and do in the local area, even if you’d rather leave your ‘van on the campsite.
Finally, Andy Harris is back on TV – and he is answering your questions. This time he is fielding queries about motorhome covers, giving tips for first timers and more.
Our TV programmes are joint productions from Practical Motorhome’s editorial team and Information TV. The shows are broadcast only on The Motorhome Channel, which you will find on Sky 192 and Freesat 402. Don’t have these channels? Fear not, you can watch live online on The Motorhome Channel website.
