It’s time to kick off series three of Practical Motorhome TV.

And as much of our first episode was filmed at The Caravan and Motorhome Show at EventCity in Manchester, it’s stuffed full of new ’van reviews.

How to watch – and when!

As ever, you’ve got plenty of opportunities to see Practical Motorhome TV and a number of ways to watch. Each episode will be shown five times a week as follows:

  • Mondays at 8.30pm;
  • Wednesdays at 6.30pm;
  • Fridays at 4.30pm;
  • Saturdays at 6.30pm;
  • Sundays at 6.30pm.

You can watch our shows on Showcase TV which you’ll find on Sky 212, Freesat 161 or live online – a single, one-off charge of £2.99 applies for the latter.

And this series starts with our review of the Elddis Encore 285. Well-specced and with Alde central heating, you can tell this is from the top range of Elddis motorhomes.

This Peugeot Boxer-based couples’ ’van has fixed twin single beds ahead of a smart, full-width end washroom. While there’s also a generously equipped kitchen and a parallel front lounge.

Camping clever

Next, we’ve something suitable for touring on a somewhat smaller scale, so if that sounds like your cup of tea, don’t miss our SsangYong Tourismo Tourist review.

If SsangYong doesn’t sound a familiar name to you, at least in motorcaravanning terms, you’re sure to know the company that has carried out the conversion – it’s Wellhouse Leisure.

It’s a true multi-function vehicle, a car that’s also a camper van. You can sleep two adults downstairs on beds that are nearly 7ft long, as well as two kids in the roof, plus there’s a compact kitchen with a sliding hob.

The conversion is smart with a high-quality finish and diesel-fuelled heating will keep you cosy. There’s also a choice of transmissions, and you can opt for two- or four-wheel drive.

Get 360-degree vision on tour

Ever wanted to see better on tour? Well now you can! That’s because Richard Baldwin Motorhomes has launched a new 360-degree camera system – and we’re looking at it in this week’s TV show.

We’ve also got a ’van with a difference. It’s the Moto-Trek X-Cite EB which has a slide-out. This helps create a fantastically large front lounge.

Yet there’s much more to this Fiat Ducato-based motorhome than just its showpiece. The décor is modern and stylish, there’s a good kitchen and it has a full-width end washroom.

Check it out this week on Practical Motorhome TV and you’ll also be able to see our Editor Niall’s chat with Bernhard Kibler, the MD of German leisure vehicle giant Hymer, filmed from the comfort of a UK-friendly B-Class DynamicLine B 534 DL Duo Mobil.

And that’s not all! We’ve got advice from technical guru Diamond Dave – and this time he’s talking suspension upgrades. He explains what work can be done and why it can improve your comfort on tour.

So don’t miss episode one of our brand-new series!
