Our June magazine has just gone on sale and it’s full of fantastic new touring ideas, new motorhome tests, a trio of terrific new competitions, and more.

This year it seems that the whole world is celebrating the life and literary works of William Shakespeare. His staggering volume of work left the world with lively comedies, tragedies, sonnets and epic tales of heroic deeds – so there’s a tale for all to enjoy. To mark the 400th anniversary of his death, we take a grand tour of Warwickshire in our Benimar Mileo 286, walking the same streets and houses as The Bard.

Our June issue is also our carnival special! Mike and Elaine Statham get into local festivals during their long tour of Spain and France, then Caroline Mills chases winter away at the Cassel Carnival in Flanders. Cassel is on the French-Belgium border, and the carnival season in this area runs from January to Easter, culminating in the Dunkerque carnival, during which people party from 6am and continue into the night. And what better way to enjoy festivals than staying in your cosy motorhome, close to the action?

Fiestas take place right across Europe all year round, and in our June issue we bring you our selection of 10 great Continental Carnivals – along with motorhome-friendly campsites nearby, so that when you plan your next motorhome holidays in Europe you won’t miss any of the fun.

Back in Blighty, we join John and Sandra Capel as they visit Dorset in their motorhome in search of famous film locations, while taking in the beaches, historic ruins and more. Summer Holiday, Pearl Harbor, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Full Metal Jacket are just some of the film locations in store!

Fierce Viking battle re-enactments, storytelling and dressing-up bring the past to life in spectacular style for Caroline Mills and her family when they take a short break in York. When you’ve read her tale of the annual Jorvik Viking Festival, we know you’ll want to visit York too.

We also go touring in South-East England this month, highlighting the 10 best places to visit in Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, along with some excellent campsites close by. With the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Carisbrook Castle, the White Cliffs of Dover and more, it’s worth heading south of London to explore the treasures of the South-East.

New Adria, Auto-Trail and Shire tests

We’re really pleased to see some excellent motorhomes out and about in 2016, so don’t miss our latest news from Hymer, Marquis, Benimar and Nirvana Mobility’s new motorhomes for disabed motorcaravanners.  We’ve also put together our full report on the most exciting new models we spotted at the NEC show – a ‘must-read’ for anyone buying a new motorhome.

In this issue we bring you our expert’s 2016 Adria Matrix Plus 670 SC review. This range is now available in the UK in three trim levels and Editor Niall Hampton tests the island-bed version, costing a cool £56,090.

Also in the June magazine, don’t miss our new Auto-Trail Imala 730 review. If you’re looking for affordable coachbuilt motorhomes, it’s worth looking beyond the Tribute and viewing the new Imala range, especially now that it’s gained a sixth model, the island-bed four-berth Auto-Trail Imala 730, at £47,223.

Read our expert’s new Shire Conversions Phoenix XLR Twin review in this edition, too. This new two-berth from the award-winning Yorkshire-based converter is based on the extra-long Fiat Ducato – and it’s full of surprises and prizes, as Gentleman Jack reveals.

Hands-on motorhome projects

Every motorhome benefits from a little routine maintenance, and in this issue we get expert advice from motorhome workshop guru Diamond Dave on his own challenges with a Fiat Ducato.

Meanwhile, teething troubles with Wilma, the lovable old Volkswagen T25 campervan, has been stretching Nigel Donnelly’s patience – and his overdraft – to its limit. In the June issue we find out how he gets on when he decides it’s time to take an overnight trip to Taunton.

Next we learn how to clean an Omnivent, whether it’s one of the old models or a newer one. Every kitchen vent gets clogged up in time, so here’s how to give it a spring clean, step-by-step with Nigel Hutson.

While he’s at it, Nigel Hutson explains how to replace a damaged pop-up rooflight, and how to clean a dirty rooflight.

Buying used motorhomes

Finally, we challenge Nick Harding to find us three good used campervans for sale. Don’t miss his ‘good as new’ Hillside Leisure Birchover camper, ‘value for money’ used Adria Twin and ‘super saver’ Lunar Vacanza reviews.

And if you’re looking for VW campervans for sale, don’t miss our used ‘van buyer’s guide to the Bilbo’s Lezan, from 2007 to the present. In this guide we highlight the good points, a few known problems, and estimate the price you’ll have to pay, depending on its age and condition.

Enjoy the June issue – it’s in the shops from today!
