THE ELDDIS ASPIRE range starts at £46,349 on the road and has been refreshed for the 2014 season. This luxurious and stylish range now has Alde wet central and water heating, and more. It is further enhanced by the addition of an Alde touch-screen controller. Unlike previous Alde controls, this one is intuitive and easy to use, and looks great, too.

Buyers also get an Avtex 18-inch telly, the cab seating headrests are now adjustable and there’s an upgraded fridge-freezer.

SoLiD GUARANTEE

Elddis will have been in business for 50

years in 2014, but this experienced British motorhome and caravan

manufacturer is not resting on its laurels. Its new SoLiD construction

method is used in 14 motorhomes now and they all come with a 10-year

guarantee against damage from water ingress. We’ve covered SoLiD

construction in Practical Motorhome magazine, but if you missed it, you

can read more about the Elddis SoLiD construction method on their website.

Elddis Aspire range for 2014

There are four Aspire models: three two-berths and a four-berth.

Elddis Aspire 275

At the top of the range, the Aspire 275 offers an incredible specification at this price-point – £51,349

on the road. It is a luxury, no-compromise two-berth coachbuilt

motorhome. For 2014, Elddis has made evolutionary rather than

revolutionary changes to the 275, and it now has an excellent kit count.

It’s a superb motorhome, undiminished by the lack of an Al-Ko chassis. It’s built on a Peugeot Boxer 2.2 130 bhp HDi, six-speed gearbox, turbo diesel Euro 5 engine, 7.37m /

24’2″ long and 2.3m /

7’7″ wide, 3.01m /

9’11” tall. There’s a double bed 2224mm  x 1300mm / 7’3″ x 4’3″ or two singles at 1900mm x 700mm / 6’3″ x 2’3″. This ‘van also has a high-level rear view camera with night-time vision and is protected by a Thatcham category one alarm. On top of that, there’s a TV, DVD, CD, bluetooth, microwave, LED lighting, a memory-foam mattress, ceramic toilet, 189-litre fridge-freezer, external satellite point, 12V outlet with solar panel connectivity and more.

We predict that the Elddis Aspire 275 will be hot competition for Auto-Sleeper’s Mercedes-based Winchcombe.

Elddis Aspire 265

Why shouldn’t families enjoy the same luxury as couples? This four-berth has four travelling seats with adjustable seatbelts. Costing £51,349 on the road, it has an inviting rear fixed corner bed offside, next to a rear corner washroom on the nearside. The kitchen and wardrobe are opposite each other amidships and the front lounge/dinette transforms into two more berths. The cab seats have their own reading lights and swivel to face the dinette for comfortable lounging on site.

Elddis Aspire 255

This two-berth costs £50,345 on the road and boasts a fixed bed at the rear, alongside the washroom. The kitchen and wardrobe are amidships. The front lounge/dinette has two facing sofas, so there’s room for four to dine, plus the cab seats swivel to face the lounge, so you can even invite friends round.

Elddis Aspire 205

At £46,349, the two-berth Aspire 205 is the smallest in the range. It’s compact, yet has a luxurious rear bathroom across the whole width of the ‘van and it’s less than 6m in overall length. As with the rest of the Aspire range, the cab seats swivel to face the front dinette/lounge. This consists of two facing sofas that you make up into the double bed at night. Amidships there’s a kitchen on the offside and a wardrobe on the nearside. It’s a simple layout that really works.
