THE DETHLEFFS GLOBEBUS I4 HAS BEEN CROWNED Practical Motorhome magazine’s 2013 Motorhome of the Year.

[tl:gallery index=1 size=460×320]Dethleffs Globebus I4 is the Overall winner in Practical Motorhome magazine’s Motorhome of the Year Awards 2013

The Globebus I range of A-class motorhomes from Europe’s biggest motorhome manufacturer Dethleffs was completely reworked for the 2013 season, turning it into a compact, narrow-bodied line-up. The styling was inspired by the German company’s own Evan concept motorhome.

And in the Globebus I4, Practical Motorhome’s judges loved the twin rear single beds layout, with a compact kitchen and washroom amidships, and a half dinette lounge up front.

The motorhome won the ‘Best luxury motorhome under 3500kg’ class, and also the prestigious overall winner gong.

Practical Motorhome editor Niall Hampton said:

“The Globebus I4 is a stylish and carefully considered motorhome that excels in every area. It’s a perfect motorhome for the current downsizing trend –  it’s hugely versatile and will work for couples as well as families. And thanks to its superb build quality, it will offer many years of touring holidays.”

OUR MOTORHOME OF THE YEAR AWARDS

This is the fourth annual Practical Motorhome Motorhome of the Year Awards. Each year, the test team looks back over the past 12 months and selects the best new motorhomes of the season.

Every new or substantially revised motorhome is eligible for inclusion. First, the judges assess all new models at their summer press previews, then draw up a shortlist at the October Motorhome and Caravan Show, refine it at the February Spring Camping and Caravan Show, and test every model shortlisted.

WE CELEBRATE THE BEST WITH WHALE

The awards celebrate the best motorhomes and accessories each year, and the event is run in association with water and heating system specialist Whale.

“The team at Whale are delighted to sponsor this prestigious event and be involved in rewarding those who have achieved excellence in the caravan and motorhome industry,” said Sarah Baird, RV Commercial Manager for Whale.
