DETHLEFFS HAS ANNOUNCED that its motorhome rental subsidiary, McRent, is launching in the UK.

McRent has partnered with a local rental firm, Wild Horizon, and will be operating from one location at first – Wild Horizon’s base in Enfield, North London. Rentals can be booked through the McRent website, although at the time of writing the UK depot had yet to appear on the list of rental locations.

Motorhome rental across Europe

In its 48 other locations across Europe, McRent rents out everything from Volkswagen Californias through to luxury Dethleffs A-classes. Most of the rental vehicles come from either Dethleffs or Sunlight, Dethleffs’ entry-level marque. In the UK, there will be three vehicle groups on offer, all coachbuilts, ranging from two-berths to six-berths. All vehicles will be no older than two years, and will come with cab air-conditioning, TVs, DVD players, bike racks and awnings. An instruction manual and DVD will be provided for those who are new to motorhoming.
