Motorhome and caravan insurance specialists Caravan Guard have won their third national industry award of 2010.

The company nabbed the award for “Best Training Programme” at the Insurance Times awards held late last year. This comes after the company secured the “Customer Service Provider of the Year” and “Personal Lines Intermediary of the Year” awards at the UK Broker Awards 2010.

The latest award was handed out for the company’s investment in improving its customer service training and for the introduction of a programme that gave all employees an opportunity to expand on their insurance qualifications to improve the quality of their advice to customers.

Kerrie Algar, the company’s human resources and training manager, who received the award from Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans at the ceremony in Battersea, said: “To win three high profile awards in a year is a massive achievement for us as a company; not only were we up against some of the UK’s largest insurance companies, but we’ve managed to excel during one of the worst economic climates the country has seen in the last 20 years.”
