The administrators of Lunar caravans have made a further 124 of its staff redundant, but insist the search for a buyer for the collapsed business is still on.

In an announcement released late on Friday afternoon, joint administrators David Acland and Lila Thomas said that despite attracting interest from buyers both in the UK and abroad, they had yet to receive an “acceptable offer for the business as a going concern”.

They added: “We are now approaching the planned summer shutdown and without funds to continue we have sadly had to make 124 redundancies.”

Mr Acland and Ms Thomas, of FRP Advisory, added that although they had planned to find a buyer for the business before the shutdown, they are still in discussions with interested parties. “We remain hopeful of a positive outcome,” they added.
