It's here! The March 2019 issue of Practical Motorhome hits shelves today, so you don't have to wait to get all of the latest touring, buying and owning advice.
This issue, we look at some extraordinary European tours. For starters, Vera and Peter Whalley take on Germany's famous Romantic Road to see fairytale castles, breathtaking scenery and delve into the area's rich history.
There's also a tour in the Netherlands, as Ann and David Mattinson explore Delft and Amsterdam. Plus a scenic low-season tour of the spectacular Sicilian coastline with Jane and Martin Williams.
We round up this month's touring section with 10 great camping spots that might surprise you from Caroline Mills, and a look at why Grantown-On-Spey Caravan Park was the Regional Winner for Scotland in 2018's Top 100 Sites Guide.
There are also plenty of 2019 'vans to tempt you into upgrading, starting with an in-depth live-in test of the Auto-Sleeper Symbol Plus. We also look at the family-sized Benimar Primero 301 which offers exceptional value for money, and the baby of Sunlight's new Cliff range, the 540, has been upgraded for the new season, with options packages to bump up the basic spec.
If you're looking for something a little more technical, we have plenty of guides and advice. Sam Coles takes you through how to make a portable 12V battery power supply, and we put the spotlight on motorhome antennas and how to minimise problems watching TV while you're on tour. We've also got a guide to road-friendly ebikes for those that want to get active on tour with a little boost, and a look at the benefits of having a gas tank fitted to your 'van.
Our pre-owned section looks at three 'vans that step out of the mainstream; a 2017 Westfalia Marco Polo, a 2015 Chausson Welcome 718 EB and a 2012 Dethleffs Eurostyle A69. There's also a used 'van buyer guide to the Auto-Sleeper Harmony, and our updated and expanded 2019 Buyer's Guide to help you navigate this season's motorhome market.
For all of this great content, head to your nearest newsagent or supermarket to pick up the March issue.
