Hi everyone.
We are planning our first trip to France in May 2019.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Ferry’s, parking, tolls, sites to stay..... the list goes on.
We’re a big unit, 29ft - hope the roads can accommodate us.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there – sorry for the slow reply. For starters, our travel guide to France might help – you can find it here.

Hi, and welcome, Comanche.
Yes, do read the page Lizzie linked to, it's packed with useful information, especially for a first timer.
Larger vans aren't usually any more of a problem here than anywhere else (sorry, should have said, I live in France, on the Vendée), but I'd suggest investing in a Satnav with the facility to input your van's dimensions - and exaggerate them a little to be on the safe side.
It's very unusual here for car parks to have strict rules about fitting into the bays, and quite common to see big vans in the less crowded "outer" areas of supermarket car parks, sometimes taking a block of 4 spaces!
