Discover your new favourite campsite in Cool Caravanning, a guide to English sites by our very own Caroline Mills – we've three copies to give away!

We know you love touring new places, taking in new views and hunting out new-to-you places to pitch.

Well, if you are one of our lucky winners, we will take some of the legwork out of your next search!

Discover some of the best campsites in England in the updated second edition of Cool Caravanning – we have three copies to give away!

And it's not just for caravanners. Indeed, it has been written by Practical Motorhome contributor and keen motorcaravanner Caroline Mills.

The best of the best

"There's no doubt that I am at my happiest when touring in my motorhome," Caroline tells us, "whether for my travel work or spending time with family.

"Merely stepping into the ’van, even when it is parked at home, my heart leaps and I can feel the endorphins rising.

"I love touring right across Europe in our motorhome, but England has some of the most scenic countryside in the world, whether it’s dramatic fells, picturesque coastal villages, dazzling river valleys or just downright pretty rural views.

"I hope that Cool Caravanning will help inspire readers to explore more and visit these very special places."

Despite the title of this book, all 51 sites (and their alternatives) are open to camper vans and motorhomes in addition to caravans. Indeed, some of the sites, like North Morte Farm in Devon, have been selected because of areas that motorhomes are entitled to pitch in exclusively.

All the sites have been visited in either a camper van, or Caroline's very own family-size coachbuilt motorhome.

First published in 2010, this updated edition includes site recommendations, as well as ideas of places to eat and drink in the area.

"With a lifetime of camping and spending time in motorhomes, contributing destination and touring content to Practical Motorhome for more than 10 years and in my wider capacity as a travel writer, I have visited, stayed at and appraised hundreds of campsites over the years," adds Caroline.

"The sites within Cool Caravanning are not selected because they’ve turned to tarmac to keep the grounds looking immaculate, or have enough hairdryers available in the washrooms to launch a hot air balloon, or that I can tick-box a succession of forms.

"These sites are about places that can offer something special, amazing views, outstanding countryside and an ethical, environmental or friendly ethos that simply feels right."

So if you would like to win one of three copies of Caroline's book, Cool Caravanning, just fill in the form below by 11.59pm on 26 July 2017 to be entered into our draw. Good luck!
