Proving that size isn't everything when it comes to campsites, join us as we discover more about the Best Small Site from our Top 100 Sites Guide 2018!

This might be the best site you've never heard of!

If you love pitching your ’van somewhere small, quiet and intimate, but not short on the essential facilities, then this Top 100 Sites Guide 2018 newcomer and finalist, and winner of our 'Best Small Site' award might be the place for you.

Let's find out what makes Meadow Falls so special.

The Dales, the Lakes and beyond!

You'll find Meadow Falls a short drive outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but it is also well-placed for visiting the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Indeed, it is within walking distance of the village of Ingleton, famous for its waterfalls and viaduct.

As you might expect from our Best Small Site, there are just five pitches for motorhomes and caravans, each of which has electric hook-up, plus water and drainage connections.

There are also grass pitches for tents and glamping pods on site.

As Meadow Falls is a Top 100 Sites Guide finalist, you won't be surprised to discover that despite being a small site, it still has super facilities, including an immaculate washblock, a laundry, a play area and, as this is a dog-friendly site, a dog walk and a dog shower!

And if you fancy leaving your ’van on site when you explore the local area, it's good to know there's a bus stop less than a mile away and a train station 4.6 miles from the site.

Try it yourself

Meadow Falls is open from 1 March until 1 October, and those who voted it into our Top 100 Sites Guide 2018 clearly have a great affection for this park.

"We can't fault it at all, and will go back soon," said one respondent. "The owners are so nice and welcoming, the grounds are very well kept and the facilities are clean. It's easy to find and a very quiet site and is also great for kids."

"The site is clean, intimate and within easy reach of Ingleton on foot," added another. "We found the owners extremely polite, helpful and keen to please."

So if you love small sites and are yet to discover Meadow Falls, maybe it's one to add to your list for 2018?
