Calling all cycling fans!

Would you love the chance to own Sir Bradley Wiggins’ motorhome? You’re in luck.

It’s going under the hammer at Surrey-based BCA Blackbushe’s auction from 11am this Thursday, 21 September 2017.

How does Wiggo roll?

There are many motorhomes for sale in the UK at present, but few have as much kudos or head-turning ability as this one!

It’s a coachbuilt Sporthome by McLaren, based on a long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, commissioned by the Olympian in 2014.

You might not believe it when you look at the photos, but underneath all that is a white ’van! It wears a vinyl wrap in Team Wiggins colours, with chromed wing mirrors.

And this theme continues inside, with distinctive blue, red and white leather upholstery, plus ‘Wiggo’ stitched into the headrests.

A televisual treat

Layout-wise, open the nearside sliding door and there’s a two-seat dinette, and each occupant gets to enjoy the luxury of a proper, swivelling captain-style chair with a headrest and armrests.

This area also has a fold-down table, and it is here that you’ll find some of the five(!) TV screens that are in this motorhome, two of which have Sky.

A kitchen lies along the nearside of the ’van and features a fridge, a three-burner gas hob and a sink with a camper van-style foldaway tap, while there is a combined shower/toilet room opposite.

At the rear of the main living area there’s a fixed double bed accessed by a ladder, and in terms of storage there are lockers above the kitchen and dinette.

There’s a surprise out back!

Privacy blinds are fitted to all the windows, the motorhome has air conditioning, there’s a pair of rooflights and it has a pull-out awning, too.

Meanwhile, up in the cab, there are two leather-trimmed seats, and a bespoke dashboard with integrated Kenwood satellite navigation and a CD player.

And at the opposite end of the ’van there’s something rather special… Open the barn doors at the rear and there’s a bicycle storage area and repair bay.

It also has eight-spoke alloy wheels and a bull bar. And it has covered just 5500 miles. It’s most certainly not the run-of-the-mill ’van you see when browsing the motorhomes for sale pages.

If this is your dream ’van, head to BCA Blackbushe and get bidding!
