THE TRAVEL GUIDE
The Short-Break Travel Guide - CORNWALLBACK

Short-Break Travel Guide Cornwall's rugged Atlantic coastline is a beautiful area to explore in a 'van, with a vast array of sights and venues to visit.
A great place to begin your journey is in Tintagel where you must visit the town's 12th-century clifftop castle – the views from its vantage point are breathtaking.
South of here is Padstow, now best known for its affiliation with TV's favourite seafood chef Rick Stein. With no fewer than eight premises in the town you should be able to find somewhere to sample Rick's famous cuisine.
For something a little more energetic, head to Newquay which has become a Mecca for Britain's surfers: Fistral Beach is world renowned for its 'gnarly' waves. St Ives has a lot to offer. In a large motorhome, the centre is best avoided but a stroll around the network of narrow streets close to the harbour is worth a day's detour.
If you fancy learning a little about the history of the region, pop along to Pilchard Works in Newlyn: the museum charts the story of the town's pilchard industry (this little fish was a foundation of the Cornish economy for centuries).
Cornwall's scenery is fantastic, the people are friendly and the food is belt-busting. All in all, Cornwall is a motorcaravanner's delight.
