Nokia isn’t faring too well against the iPhone and Android, but its new N8 smartphone should be a return to form. It’s a chunky smartphone wrapped in an aluminium case, but the stand-out feature is the 12-megapixel camera with a high quality lens that shoots both excellent photos and HD video.Nokia has paid close attention to the rich array of smartphone features, too, but there’s still a question mark over performance and there isn’t anywhere near the same choice of downloadable apps as with the iPhone and Android. Still, the N8 should be a solid choice for Nokia fans.
