Old Brick Kilns
Site owners Mr & Mrs Hatfield
Open Early March-6 January

To find this site, follow the
signs from the B1354 near Fakenham. Then turn into a narrow road; this might be a bit difficult for passing, but don’t be put off as it’s a splendid site and well worth the drive.
The site is family-run, so you can be guaranteed assistance and a friendly approach. It covers a large area and is divided into three main plots, with a large variety of trees, shrubs and plants making
the whole site akin to an ornamental Japanese garden. There is also a butterfly garden, which is next to a conservation pool and seasonal wildlife abounds around the site.
Everything you could wish for is here: there’s a library, television room, cycle hire, table tennis and fenced play areas
for children.
The heated sanitary block is kept spotless; proper rotary shower controls and basins can be found in curtained cubicles.
Although there is another, smaller block, the facilities may become stretched during the high season. On site there
is a well-stocked shop with
an off-licence. There are fax, copying and email facilities available as well.
The site has a large number of activities for adults and children – there is even a giant chessboard, which has been placed within sight of the pleasant restaurant and bar.
Off site in the nearby town of Fakenham, there is golf, squash, ten-pin bowling and a cinema. There is a market and auction on Mondays, as well as Fakenham racecourse, which runs all-year round. A little further away is Cromer, a pleasant seaside town that tends to get quite busy in the summer. The Hull-to-Norwich railway runs close to the site and not far away is the North Norfolk Railway, a lovely steam railway running between Sheringham and Holt.
