It would be quite possible to come to Brighouse Bay Holiday Park and never leave the site; there is so much to
do here, and all of it is set amid the stunning, peaceful Scottish landscape.
The large touring area is divided into intimate groups of pitches by mature hedges and dry stone walls, with a few pitches adjacent to one of the fishing lakes. Each area has its own character and points of interest, and many pitches are just a short walk from the site's own slipway to the bay's waters.
An extensive range of on-site sporting and leisure activities are well laid out and blend in beautifully with the surrounding countryside. Chief among these is an impressive 18-hole golf course, with its spectacular sea view; pony trekking is another favourite, along with mountain bike hire and quad bikes. The large 'leisure club' boasts an indoor swimming pool, a family lounge and a bistro serving good food throughout (don't miss the delicious Whitby scampi).
Those seeking less energetic activities can walk the trails that criss-cross the neighbouring woodlands, or try coarse fishing. A mini-market ensures that you don't even need to leave the park to stock up on provisions. Bliss!
