Nether Craig Caravan Park
Website: www.nethercraigcaravanpark.co.uk
Open 15 March–19 November

Where better to find peace, quiet and beauty than in Scotland's great outdoors? To reach the picture-prefect site of Nether Craig you must venture down a narrow, one-and-a-half mile single-track approach off a B-road, several miles from Alyth. The bonus of such a remote location is the complete stillness and unspoilt scenery.
The views out over the Angus countryside are outstanding, and the location means that there are many opportunities for outdoor activities including bird watching, fishing and golf. In the reception area there are guide books to consult, and you can borrow maps of the area.
The site itself is just as attractive as its surroundings, with its beautifully maintained planting and trees. It is also a repeated winner and proud recipient of the David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation.
Pitches are mainly flat and spacious – the site spans over four square acres and because there are only 40 pitches, each motorhome enjoys plenty of space. In addition to the main recreation field, there's a large, central, grass area on site.
This really is a child's paradise where kids can enjoy the playground in safe surroundings. The absence of other on-site leisure facilities – such as a bar and picnic area – ensures a perfectly peaceful atmosphere.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and always have an eye on security since all site traffic must pass their house.a The area's royal heritage, just up the A93, is worth exploring.
