On a good day, this site is just one hour's drive from central London. Despite this, Alderstead Heath has a calm, rural, feel because it is situated in the open fields of Surrey's picturesque countryside.
Much of the campsite is dotted with static caravans
but there is still plenty of room for motorhomes in the spacious touring area at the top of the site. Most of the pitches are set on hardcore hardstanding to ensure that you have a solid, level site.
Facilities are up to the Caravan Club's usual high standard, and there is even a dedicated area for washing your 'van in case it's streaked with grime when you arrive.a
You can hear a little bit of background noise from the nearby M25, but this does not impinge on the wonderfully secluded feel to this site, which is bordered on one side by woods that are popular with walkers. Security is excellent, with barriers, rising 'sleeping policemen' and a perimeter fence linked to the reception by an alarm. The towns of Redhill and Caterham are a few miles away.
Stay at this site while visiting Epsom downs and race course, Chislehurst Caves and London.
