Lickpenny Touring Park
Website: www.lickpennycaravanpark.co.uk

Located in a tranquil corner of the scenic Derbyshire countryside, just four miles from Matlock, Lickpenny Caravan Park is maturing into a desirable haven of peace and quiet. In the few short years that the park has been in operation, a continuous series of improvements has lead to the provision of 13 fully serviced pitches out of a total of 103, with more to follow shortly.
All the pitches are set on level ground, with lots of space between them, and plenty of room for manoeuvring even the largest and most awkward of caravans. This is a very peaceful site, with an abundance of wildlife, and many interesting walks. One footpath takes you on a stroll to a nearby garden centre, with an attractive restaurant serving a good selection of meals including the ever-popular big breakfasts'.
The amenity buildings are all very well maintained and there is an excellent child/parent washroom in one of the blocks, complete with a bath. Well thought out disabled facilities have also been provided. In addition to a children's play area, there are large open spaces for recreation, plus several picnic areas for alfresco dining.
Donington Grand Prix Collection
 • It is 31 miles to Donington, where over 130 cars are housed. To see the huge collection of Grand Prix cars, spread through five halls, including the largest collection of McLaren racing cars in the world, costs £7 for adults, £2.50 for children. Tel 01332 811027. Web www.doningtoncollection.com.
