North Ledaig Caravan Club Site
Website: www.caravanclub.co.uk
To reach this beautiful site you'll need to put in a little bit of effort but we reckon it's more than worth it. The park is on the shores of Ardmucknish Bay, and the magnificent views across the water to the spectacular hills beyond make
it a difficult site to beat.
It is split into three fields:
one of around 100 pitches for Caravan Club members, and two fields for non-members.
Everyone enjoys the same fantastic view of the bay, and
the sunsets over the water are truly stunning.
The sea air may be bracing but the welcome is always warm.
On arrival, a warden will show you to your allocated pitch and will readily offer assistance in siting motorhomes. Many of the pitches are 'drive on/drive off', and the site's superbly smooth roads are an added bonus.
With its own shores running directly down to the bay, it is not surprising that boating from the site is very popular, and the site even has its own slipway. Moorings are also available for motorcaravanners' boats. Television reception is very good and there is an excellent dog walk on site, too.
You'll be blissfully unaware of any traffic at this site: the most noise you'll experience will be the gentle lapping of the sea on the pebble shores. 6.7 miles to Oban, one of Scotland's most visited west coast towns. From here you can take the coastal walk around the bay or cross to little Kerrera Island by ferry (from Gallanach).
