The Garden Caravan Site
Website: www.gardencaravansite.co.uk

First-time visitors to this beautiful site might feel as if they have inadvertently wandered into someone's back garden. Green and spacious, even the frequently unmanned reception building looks rustic – but then the clue is in the name. Visitors are instructed to site themselves wherever they please and an honesty box is put out for the few basic groceries that are sold here.
Clematis climbs the rustic red-brick walls, and voracious shrubbery engulfs the serene garden area. A belt of large beech trees shades this friendly yet tranquil site. The recently refurbished toilet buildings are perfectly maintained and offer almost domestic levels of comfort. Excellent facilities for the disabled are also provided.
If the groceries sold at the site reception office won't suffice, the town of Docking, with its wider range of shopping facilities, is only four miles away.
 • 11.6 miles to Hunstanton with its cliffs and beaches – although they are on the east coast, they actually face west, so the area experiences some of the best sunsets in England. There is a wide stretch of beautiful coastline to explore and you might also be lucky enough to spot some seals.
