Just been browsing through my copy of February's Practical MH, which arrived yesterday. Excellent as always!

1. Loved Jeremiah's article on Provence. We were down there at Easter, but not so near the coast. Our visit began in the Alps, then we dropped down and toured more of the central parts of Provence. Far more Aires etc there, we only used a campsite when we visited Aix-en-Pr.

2. When do we get to say hello to Emma on here?

3. Also, one permanent niggle. I know all mag publishers "post-date" each issue by a month, to give a longer shelf-life in the shops - so February's comes out in January, etc. But only PM to my knowledge post-dates by TWO months, and it seems really strange to be reading a magazine date "February" in December. Is there a reason for this Rob?

By the way, I've deliberately not mentioned the month in this thread title, so the same thread can be "recycled" whenever someone wants to comment on the latest issue.

It used to be even worse but they slipped an extra 100th anniversary issue in after the September mag this year which reduced it from 3 to 2 months out of sync with the calandar.

we also lliked the report from Jeremiah on Provence. The travel reports are definitely getting better. We used to work in Port Grimaud and look after accommodation from Cannes to St Tropez so we have driven the coast roads many times although that was back in 1984. We had a Fiat panda at the time with canvas seats so times have changed a bit and we have a much bigger Fiat now! We must go back as it looks lovely. The people have never been that friendly down there although the locals hated the Parisians more than the British tourists.

The "March" (?) issue just dropped on the mat, and - result! - it's a MONDAY, which is my day off, so I'll have chance to relax with it (if Elizabeth doesn't nick it first!).

A quick flick shows two travel articles that'll have me pining for the open road - one by Phyllida Scrivens extolling the joys of "France Passion" (which we're "passionate" about too) and one diving down into Spain.

We're only doing one channel-hop this year, at Easter (got to stay in UK this summer - big birthday), but it will be through France and Spain so both these articles will have us itching to be on our way.

Well done everyone for what looks like another excellent issue.

We also got our mag this morning, a bit early for March issue but hey ho! The mag seems to get better every month and the paper quality seems better than it did when we started reading it three years ago.
